1. Acceptance of Terms
By downloading, installing, or using ScreenCap ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the App.
2. Description of Service
ScreenCap is a visual organization app for iOS 16.0 and later that enables you to organize screenshots and capture images (CapCam), sort them into custom collections (Stacks), view them chronologically (CapCal), and export them as PDFs. All processing occurs locally on your device.
3. User Responsibilities
You are solely responsible for all content you capture, organize, annotate, or export within ScreenCap. You agree to:
• Use the App only for lawful purposes
• Not violate any local, state, national, or international law
• Not infringe upon the intellectual property rights of others
• Respect the privacy and rights of others when capturing or sharing content
4. Privacy & Data
ScreenCap is designed with privacy as a core principle. We do not collect, store, or transmit any of your personal data, screenshots, notes, URLs, tags, or organizational information. All data remains exclusively on your device unless you choose to export it. See our Privacy Policy for complete details.
5. Subscriptions & In-App Purchases
ScreenCap offers optional premium subscriptions that unlock additional features including unlimited custom Stacks, unlimited CapCam captures, and high-density PDF exports. Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period. You can manage or cancel subscriptions in your App Store account settings. Refunds are handled according to Apple's refund policy.
6. Permissions & Access
ScreenCap requests the following permissions:
• Photo Library Access (read/write): To display and organize your screenshots
• Camera Access: For CapCam in-app captures
These permissions are used solely for core app functionality. Your content is never uploaded, shared, or transmitted to external servers.
7. Intellectual Property
ScreenCap and its original content, features, functionality, interface design, and branding are owned by ScreenCap Studios and are protected by United States and international copyright, trademark, patent, trade secret, and other intellectual property laws.
8. User Content & Ownership
You retain all ownership rights to any screenshots, photos, notes, tags, and other content you create, capture, or organize using ScreenCap. ScreenCap Studios claims no ownership or rights to your content.
9. Disclaimer of Warranties
ScreenCap is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not guarantee that the App will be error-free, secure, or uninterrupted.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, ScreenCap Studios and its developers shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of profits, or business interruption, arising from your use or inability to use the App.
11. Data Backup & Loss
You are solely responsible for maintaining backups of your device and Photos library. While ScreenCap stores organizational data locally on your device, it does not provide backup or recovery services. Loss of data due to device failure, iOS updates, app deletion, or other causes is your responsibility. We recommend enabling iCloud Backup on your device.
12. App Updates & Changes
We reserve the right to modify, update, or discontinue features of ScreenCap at any time without notice. We may release updates to fix bugs, add features, or improve performance. Some updates may be required to continue using the App.
13. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms of Service at any time. Material changes will be communicated through the App or our website. Your continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the modified terms.
14. Termination
You may stop using ScreenCap at any time by deleting the App from your device. All local data associated with the App will be removed upon deletion. These terms remain in effect until terminated by either party. Subscriptions will continue to be charged until cancelled in your App Store settings.
15. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes shall be resolved in accordance with these terms.
